Rules
- Maximum number of 3 participants per team
- Each flag/answer will have the following syntax: "flag{answer}"
The following are strictly prohibited and subject to disqualification:
- Attack any machine other than the designated ones,
- Bruteforce attempts,
- DoS Hackathon CTF infrastructure or any other company system,
- Modify the scoreboard,
- Intentionally prevent other teams from flagging,
- Sharing flags between teams,

What is this?
A week dedicated to teams looking for security vulnerabilities in "capture the flag" challenges.
Why are we doing this?
Understanding securities vulnerabilities allow us to be better prepared and deliver more secure applications.
How can I join in?
Sign up as a team of three(max.) or individually (we will join you to a team if you wish)
- Registrations will start 1 week before the event starts.
- When registering your team, don't forget to save your team password and only share it with your team members.
and be prepared for Capture the Flag:
~30 security challenges in Web, Trivia, Misc, SQL Injection etc.
Working as a team, you will be facing these challenges, collecting points and be among the teams to win prizes!
Can I participate as a single player?
You can sign up and complete the challenge on your own. However, before Celfocus Hackathon, the Application Security Team will contact you should you want to be added to a team.
We all know two brains are better than one.
What is capture the flag?
A flag is the prize, the goal! If you manage to resolve a challenge you will get something like "flag{some interesting text}" and this is what you need to share with us.
What’s in it for me?
Besides the thrill of discovering vulnerabilities and learning more about them, you will get to work with an inspiring team and create new connections.
Oh! And if you are among the top three teams you may win notoriety of winning this event and also prizes between 3 levels (1st, 2nd and 3rd place).
Are the prizes for individuals or to be divided by team members?
Each team member will receive individual prize.
When can the team start the challenges?
Capture the flag challenges will be available from the 1st day as soon as the talks start.
Teams are responsible for creating their own dynamic, time off work etc.
When will winners be announced?
The Hackathon initiative will come to an end on the 5th day and the winners will be announced 1 hour after closing, on the Live event taking place on that date.
Prize Attribution
This is a short explanation of how prizes are attributed.
At the end of the CTF, on Hackathon CTF scoreboard, the 3 teams with the highest score are identified and are entitled to a prize. In case of equal score, the first team to reach the score is considered first.

- If your team manages to solve at least one challenge, you will receive a CELFOCUS Hackathon Merchandise!
Who can win the top 3 Prizes?
Only teams with 100% of Celfocus personnel will be eligible to win those prizes, however, the thrill, the experience and the Celfocus Merch will be certain for everyone else. So, if you worked with us in the past and want to continue to “play”, you can join the fun! (If you have a Novabase email, you are considered as Celfocus Personnel in this context)
